Robert Lee Sims

Robert Lee Sims, age 90, of Holly Springs, died Saturday, July 25, at his home in the Marianna Community. He was a member of the Yarbrough Chapel CME Church.

He was a retired District 4 Marshall County Supervisor, where he served a term as board president.

Services were held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 12 noon in the Doxey Auditorium on the Rust College campus with Rev. Tony Wilkins officiating. Burial was in the Yarbrough Chapel Church Cemetery. J. F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves behind his wife, Kathyel Falkner Sims of Holly Springs; daughters: Belinda Sims Hollowell of Holly Springs and Gwendolyn (Alfonza) Sims Ward of Conyers, Ga.; son John Artis Sims of Holly Springs; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by sons Robert Adolphus Sims and Albert David Sims; sisters Ora Mae Wolfe, Martha B. Jones, Josie Lee Freeman, and Cinderella Taylor; and brother John David Sims, Jr.
