Tallie leads successful basketball camp
The third annual J’Niya Tallie Fundamental Basketball Camp was a huge success.
Tallie hosted the camp Saturday, July 25, at her alma mater, Ashland High School, and she reported a great turnout. Instruction focused on fundamentals, building confidence, and helping young athletes improve their skills in a fun, positive environment.
Boys and girls, ages 6-17, participated in the camp.
After her stellar high school career as a Lady Blue Devil, Tallie played college basketball at Jackson State University. During her four years at JSU, the Lady Tigers won two regular season Southwestern Athletic Conference championships and one SWAC Tournament championship.
She said she enjoys giving back to the youth through the game that gave so much to her.
“I always come out of retirement for the kids,” Tallie said.
