Oleiva Ford Jones

Oleiva Ford Jones, 88, of Byhalia, died July 9, 2026, at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was a member of Isaac Chapel CME Church where she served as a trustee, choir president, director board of Christian Education, was a member of Victoria Prayer Warriors and Homemaker’s Club. She was retired from GEM Inc.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 15 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. and on July 16 at Isaac Chapel CME Church from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 p.m. Pastor Byron Barnes will officiate. Burial will be in Newell Chapel CME Church Cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Marilyn Jones Taylor of Olive Branch, Annie Griffin of Frisco, Texas; son, Elton Wayne Jones (Cynthia) of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Jasper Ford (Margaret) of Memphis; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Jones; siblings, John Ford and William Ford Jr.
