Lillie Beatrice Cathey Kelsey

Lillie Beatrice Cathey Kelsey, 75, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Ashland, died July 4, 2026, at her home. She worked at General Electric in Boston, Mass.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 18 from 3:30-6 p.m. with services on July 19 at 2 p.m. Eulogy will be given by her brother, James Cathey. Burial will be in Mt. Zion CME Cemetery in Benton County.

She leaves a daughter, Bridget Phillip of Memphis; sons, Jerome Thomas, Marvin Cathey, both of Boston; sisters, Cora Cathey, Jessie Cathey, Shirley McAdory, all of Memphis, Wyvonia Cathey of NC, Waurine Schaffer of Memphis; brothers, Jimmy Cathey of Holly Springs, James Cathey of Bossier City, La; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Phillip; siblings, John D. Cathey, Clarence Cathey Jr., and Clara Mae Scales.
