Oscar Leonard Hurdle Jr., 88, of Southaven, formerly of Slayden, died June 14, 2026, at his home. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked at Kimberly Clark and Yellow Freight.
Services were held at Holly Springs Funeral Home on June 17 at 4 p.m. Burial was in Slayden Cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Shirley Catherine Barefoot Hurdle; sons, Victor Lyn Hurdle (Darla) of Harri man, Tenn., Richard Barry Hurdle (Yvonne) of Southaven; daughters, Deliece Hurdle of Gardnerville, NV, Candace Doddridge (Jeremy) of Southaven; sister, Nell Amelia Lewis of Slayden; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Alan Hurdle; and grand daughter, Rachel.
