Learlean Hampton Pointer

Learlean Hampton Pointer, 76, of Lamar, died June 17, 2026. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Moscow, Tenn. and worked for Worthington in Holly Springs and Winter Garden Company in Rossville, Tenn. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on June 26 from 4-6 p.m. Services will be held at Sand Hill MB Church on June 27 at 11 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.

She leaves a daughter, Angela Hampton of Lamar; stepdaughter, Turesia Dowdy of Byhalia; broth ers, John Alvin Hampton (Betty) of Crete, Ill., Tilmon Hampton (Phelesia) of Olive Branch; sisters, Earnestine Hampton of Memphis, Tenn., Alice Shed (David) of Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pointer; brothers, Sylves ter Hampton Jr., Willie Hampton, Thomas Hampton; and twin sister, Earlean Hampton.
