Helen Ruth Allen Thomas

Helen Ruth Allen Thomas, 70, of Lamar, died June 11, 2026, at her daughters home in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries and a barber.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 19 from 12-5:30 p.m. and on June 20 at Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Bishop L.T. Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Miracle Temple Cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Maria Allen of Memphis, Tenn., Tiffany Jeffries of Olive Branch, Debra Thomas, Katasha Brooks, both of Memphis, Marquisha Gunn of Collierville, Tenn.; mother, Magnolia Hudson Allen of Lamar; brothers, Melvin Allen of Lamar, Charles Allen of Horn Lake; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, James T. Allen; siblings, Margie Holcomb, Sam Allen, Arthur Wayne Allen and James Allen Jr.
