Isola Dortch Isom

Isola Dortch Isom, 75, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Lamar, died May 10, 2026, at her home. She attended Hudsonville CME Church and was a seamstress at Memphis Dinette.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Britttenum and Son Funeral Home on May 22 from 1-5:30 p.m. and on May 23 at Hudsonville CME Church from 1-1:55 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves a daughter, Debra Isom of Memphis; sons, Derrell Isom, Gregory Isom, both of Memphis; sisters, LeAnna Jones of Indianapolis, Ind., Lurena Brown of Memphis, Essie Jones of Indianapolis, Queen Jones of Olive Branch, Gloria Strickland of Collierville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Washington Isom; siblings, Ezell Dortch, Richard Short, Leroy Dortch and Timothy Dortch.
