Beck Lafever celebrates first birthday

The weekend was jam packed full of fun activities for the younger generation. Kicking it off was a beautiful and fun luncheon at Montrose honoring this year’s pilgrimage queens, Charlie Johnson and Maggie Teel. Hostesses Amanda Smith, Libba Smith and Sarah Taylor transformed Montrose into “the rabbit hole” from Alice in Wonderland. The ladies had every detail immaculately planned out and executed down to the croquet game on the back green space. Touches of Alice in Wonderland characters made appearances from the front door to the back, from the foyer to the adjoining rooms, from drinks to luncheon fare and the back gardens. No stone was left unturned to create Wonderland for the young ladies and their friends to enjoy.

This weekend marks the 84th Annual Pilgrimage presented by the Holly Springs Garden Club. Churches, select homes and museums will be open for locals and tourists alike.

Saturday night, Hedgefarm was rocking and rolling with Marshall Academy’s Junior/Senior prom. The theme this year was “Neon Moon” and it was decorated with all things related. The students danced the night away, enjoying one another’s company for one last formal together.

Beck Lafever, son of Allie and Elgin Lafever, celebrated his first birthday in grand style last weekend with a Master’s Golf Tournament theme. Family and friends showed up to enjoy the afternoon, showering Beck with birthday wishes.
