Jeanette Barksdale

Jeanette Barksdale, 67, of Holly Springs, died April 10, 2026, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks and was employed at ICS Headstart.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Apri 17 from 4-6 p.m. Services will be held at the Eddie Lee Smith Multi-Purpose Building on April 18 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Dean Barksdale; sons, Antonio Wells (Toni), Chaiam Harris (Ronesha), both of Byhalia; daughter, Sharetta Kitchen (Robert) of Olive Branch; brothers, Oscar Kinkle (Dorothy), James King, both of Holly Springs; sisters, Frankie Bell, Christine Davis, Thais Manning (Anthony), all of Holly Springs; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Kinkle, Lilliam Hall Watson; brothers, Ozcar Wells, John Sumlar, John Kinkle, Cidell Kinkle, Robert Kinkle, Odell Kinkle, Oscar Aldridge; sisters, Julie Ann Faulkner, Silvia Davis, Leonia Wilson, Lois Valley Jefferson and Olivia Bobo.
