Lakesha Renea "Tootie" Newsom, 35, of Holly Springs, died March 27, 2026, at Regional One Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 11, at New Mt. Gillian M.B. Church in Byhalia. Burial was in Wyatte Community Church Cemetery in Senatobia.
She leaves her mother, Rosie Young (Newsom) of Aberdeen, NC; father, Robert Sanderson Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Maliyah Young, Kailyn Young, both of Aberdeen; son, Rashad Young of Aberdeen; sisters, DeWaylia Young of Aberdeen, and Myesha Martin (Young) of Oxford.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ada Lee Newsom.
