Samuel Louis "DaDa" Payton Jr., 41, of Holly Springs, died March 30, 2026. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church where he sang in the choir and later became a member of Hopewell No. 1 MB Church.
Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on April 10 from 4-6 p.m. with services on April 11 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.
He leaves his daughters, Rachel and Khristiana; siblings, Sheri Richmond, Samedra Quinn, Kevin Payton; and friend, Krystal DeBerry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Payton; mother, Joanne Richmond; sister, Allegra; paternal grandparents, Madora Rosie Payton, Joe L. Payton; maternal grandparents, Mary Richmond and Ingram Richmond.
