Gary Oneal Jones

Gary Oneal Jones, 53, of Holly Springs, died March 26, 2026, at River of Life Health and Rehab in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Mt. Peel MB Church and a truck driver at Cooper Trucking.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on April 3 from 1-5 p.m. and on April 4 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 1-1:55 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Minister Actavatis Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

He leaves his fiance Tanica Shanell Sumler of Holly Springs; children, Justin Turner, Martavious Rodgers, Gary Jones Jr., Brandon Sumler, all of Holly Springs, Jasmyne Vaughn of Hattiesburg; father, Thomas L. Brown of Holly Springs; stepmother, Cheryl Brown of Holly Springs, stepfather, Tim Oliver of Holly Springs; siblings, Tiffany Bowen of Holly Springs, Kanesha Vaughn of Horn Lake, Sandrika Pinson of Holly Springs, Kearsha Scruggs of Southaven, Cedrisha Render of Holly Springs, Antwan Jones of Olive Branch, Timothy Oliver Jr. of Holly Springs, Jarvis Brown, Jeremy Brown, both of Memphis; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Jones Oliver.
