Curtis Bridges

Curtis Bridges, 97, of Memphis, Tenn., died February 24, 2026, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was a member of Healing Cathedral Christian Church in Memphis, a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retired mail sorter for the U.S. Postal Service.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 5 from 12-5 p.m and on March 6 at The Healing Cathedral Christian Church, 4523 Elvis Presley Blvd., from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Tyrone Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Ingram Family Cemetery in Byhalia.

He leaves his daughters, Patricia Rose of Duluth, Ga., Sondra Watley of Memphis; son, Tony Bridges of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, James Bridges Sr. of Memphis; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lawrence Ingram Bridges.
