Lovie D. Hampton Cole

Lovie D. Hampton Cole, 72, of Lamar, died February 28, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of Sand Hill MB Church where she sang in the women's and senior choir. She was a case worker at Northeast Community Service in Ashland.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 6 from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and on March 7 at Miracle Temple Salt and Light Ministries from 1212:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Rev. Darrell Mays will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill MB Church Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Charles E. Cole of Ashland; daughters, Tammie T. Hampton of Lamar, Tenia McIntosh of Memphis,Tenn.; sons, Montrellis Cole (Jessica), Corinthian Cole (Angie), both of Ashland; sisters, Sara Hampton of Memphis, Sherron Readers of Lamar; brother,s Oscar Hampton of Memphis, Herman Glass of Aurora, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Hampton Sr.; sister, Maxcine Hampton Daugherty; brothers, Therman Hampton, Marvin Glass, Tim L. Hampton, Doug Hampton, David Glass, Bradley Glass and Jimmy Hampton.
