Gretchen Ann Harden Hope

Gretchen Ann Harden Hope, 62, of Byhalia, died March 1, 2026, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, Tenn. She was a member of Eason Grove MB Church in Byhalia and attended St. Matthews MB Church. She was a packer at Milwaukee Tools in Byhalia.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 8 from 1-3 p.m. and on March 9 at St. Matthews MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Darrel Petties will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Kim Harden, Ashley Hope, both of Byhalia; sons, Kevin Harden, Larry Hope Jr., both of Byhalia; sisters, Francis Harden, Gwen Jackson, both of Byhalia; brothers, Oscar Lee Harden, Randy Harden, both of Olive Branch, Willie Lee Harden Jr., Carl Harden, Herbert Harden, all of Byhalia, Curtis Harden of Chulahoma; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Sarah H. Harden; son, Marvin Harden; siblings, Jospehine Harden, Robert Harden, George Harden and Nathaniel Harden.
