Oscar B. Long, 71, of Ashland, died January 27, 2026, at Ashland Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Samuel Chapel MB Church and retired from Biltrite Manufacturing in Ripley.
Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Feb. 6 from 1-5 p.m. and on Feb. 7 at Macedonia CME Church in Ashland from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Minister James Morgan will officiate.
He leaves his daughters, Demetrice "Dee Dee' Patterson of Lamar, Samantha Williams of Flint, Mich.; sisters, Sadie M. Long, Shirley Ann Jackson, Shirley B. Strickland, Joe Ann Long, Susie Smith, all of Ashland; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Long and Robert Long.
