New Orleans was scattered with locals from our area last week for the Sugar Bowl. Ole Miss went head to head with Georgia. After an exhausting four quarters of back and forth, Ole Miss took the win 37-34 advancing them further into the college playoffs. They face Miami this week in the Fiesta Bowl held in Arizona.
Alana Hilliard, Grady Brooks, Erin Pearson, Bob Lomenick and Jack Whaley Smith were just a few faces seen in the French Quarter and the Superdome. Ole Miss senior wide receiver, De’Zhaun Stribling, took Jack Whaley’s phone after the game to make sure he had a Sugar Bowl experience unlike any other.
Happiest of birthdays to Hypatia Morris who celebrated her first birthday last weekend. Her family and friends surrounded her and enjoyed the creative Hungry Caterpillar theme. Hypatia is the daughter of Ruby and Samuel Morris, granddaughter of Samantha Morris, great-granddaughter of Renee Tice and niece of Wood Morris.
