Patriots to play in Hotbed Classic

The 34th Annual New Albany Kiwanis Hotbed Classic is set for Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at the New Albany Memorial Gym, and it will include one team from Marshall County.

The Marshall Academy Patriots go against the Ingomar Falcons at 11 a.m.

This year’s Hotbed Classic will feature top high school boys’ basketball teams from Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee. The entire slate of games includes 8:30 a.m., Myrtle vs. Tupelo Titans; 9:45 a.m., East Union vs. Walnut; 11 a.m., Marshall Academy vs. Ingomar; 12:15 p.m., Pontotoc vs. Jasper, Ala.; 1:30 p.m., New Albany vs. Brookwood, Ala.; 3 p.m., Northwest Rankin vs. Bob Jones, Ala.; 4:30 p.m., Halls, Ark., vs. Providence Christian, Tenn.; 6 p.m., Friendship Assembly Christian School, Tenn., vs. Shades Valley, Ala.; 7:30 p.m., Starkville vs. Kirkwood, Tenn.; and 9 p.m., West Union vs. Tupelo Christian Preparatory School.

The historic gym is located on the New Albany Middle School campus, 400 Apple Street.
