LETTER TO THE EDITOR
This year’s “Trunk or Treat” event on the square in Holly Springs was a great success.
It was organized by the newly formed Holly Springs Advancement Society whose purpose is to bring home town events and community involvement back into the spotlight in Holly Springs.
The square was crowded with children and parents in costumes for the two hour duration of the event and it was a joyful and rewarding experience to be involved in.
We could not have done it without the participating of Holly Springs businesses and the donations of candy and funds for purchasing candy. Credit and many thanks are given to the following participants: The Apothecary, Southern Eatery, the Heineke’s, Rust College Women’s basketball, Sharia Smith, Saint Gobain, Marshall County Sheriff’s officers, Retro Rooster, Jumping Jack Fitness, Nicole Phelps/Marshall County Chancery Clerk’s office, Shirley Byers and sorority members, Poppi’s coffee/cake, CC the Clown-Johnnie Mae, Byhalia High School PTO, WKRA, Andrea and Katelyn Payne, Wynne House, HSAS members, Marianne Monson, Joanne Huff, Patrick Foster, Michelle Anderson, Tanya Churchill;
Donations: Fidelity National, Bank of Holly Springs/Memphis Street, Brittenum Funeral Home, Booker Hardware, Grace Bonds/Craft and Wynne, Ki Jones, Attorney, Sonya’s Liquor, TLC Logistics, The Smoke Center, Renee Wright Medical, Holly Springs Family Medical, Carlisle’s Cash Saver, Carpenter’s Produce, Dr. John Jones, DDS, Holly Springs Tire Center, Gresham Realty, Jeryl’s Kut and Kurl;
Candy donations from HSAS members, Paul Vinson, Marshall Walls, and Peggy Mitchell.
Many thanks to all these people for helping us brighten up the Holly Springs Square for an evening and provide a fun and safe Halloween for everyone
