Mae Willie Walls Johnson

Mae Willie Walls Johnson, 83, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Ashland, died November 12, 2025, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was a member of Thessalonia MB Church and a retired custodian for the Memphis City Schools.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Nov. 21 from 3:30-6 p.m. And on Nov. 22 at Greenwood MB Church in Lamar, from 10-10:55 a.m. With services at 11 a.m. Rev. Ronnie Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion CME Church Cemetery in Ashland.

She leaves her daughters, Pamela Branch of Conroe, Texas, Yolanda Johnson of Memphis; sons, Willie Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, Keith Johnson, all of Memphis; sisters, Janie Walls, Gladys Walls, both of Memphis; brother, Willie Walls of Memphis; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Edward Johnson; siblings, Ellie B. Williams, Earlese Benson, Laura M. Johnson, Fairella Johnson, Rosie Aldridge and Jimmie Lee Walls.
