Loedean Jose Poole

Loedean Jose Poole, 64, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Norfolk, Va., died November 1, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Gethsemane Garden Church of God in Christ in Memphis where he served as a church deacon. He was a truck driver for Coburn's Supply Company.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Nov. 8 from 3-5:30 p.m. and on Nov. 9 at Gethsemane COGIC, 1740 Vollintine Ave., Memphis, from 12-12:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Bishop Clinton Bryant will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

He leaves his wife, Phyllis Davis Poole; son, Loedean Moton of Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Yolanda Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va., Paige Hannah, Gaberelle Hannah, both of Memphis; sisters, Francine Small of Norfolk, Va., Costeneah Putney of Portsmouth, Va.,Vernell Reed of Norfolk, Marie Smith of Portsmouth; brothers, Roy Carrington of Chicago, Ill., John Poole Jr. of Germany, Charles Poole of Chesapeake, Va., Christian Poole of Virginia Beach, Harry Poole of Norfolk, Vernon Poole of Zion, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Carrington.
