Clyde Wilson

Clyde Vernon Wilson of Potts Camp, passed away peacefully at his home after an extended illness. He was 89.

He leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Julia Ford Wilson; two children, Malcolm Wilson of Memphis, Tenn., and the late Marla Wilson Harshberger (Martin) of Saltillo. He also leaves a step-daughter, Sherrie Tyer and three grandchildren, Jake Wilson, Dixie Tyer and Tacha Maxey (Shawn). He also leaves four great grandchildren; and one sister, Chelsie Houston of Atoka, Tenn.

Clyde worked for the Memphis Fire Department for 30 years, where he retired as Captain.

Clyde loved the country and loved to ride his many Harley motorcycles he had owned over the years.

There was a family viewing at United Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, followed by a 3:30 p.m. graveside service at Cornersville Cemetery in Potts Camp.
