Rev. Sidney Floyd Fifer Sr.
Rev. Sidney Floyd Fifer Sr., 79, of Slidell, La., formerly of Holly Springs, died September 28, 2025, at his home. He was a member of Royston Chapel CME Church, former pastor of Macedonia CME Church and a retired truck driver.
Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 10 from 1-5:30 p.m. and on Oct. 11 at Royston Chapel CME Church from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Elder Bobby G. Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Jerrylyn Royston Fifer; children, Sidney F. Fifer Jr. of Horn Lake, Marilyn Fifer-Leakes, Tonya Fifer, Lee Q. Fifer, Silas P. Fifer, all of Memphis, Tenn., Briana Anderson of Atlanta, Ga., Antonio Robinson of Milwaukee, Wis.; stepchildren, Sean W. Dubose (Angelique) of Moss Point, Candis Dubose Newsom (LaMont) of Slidell, Clarence E. Dubose Jr. (Jamie) of Crestview, Fla.; sisters, Mamie Fifer, Naomi Johnson, both of Memphis; brothers, John Fifer (Linda) of Holly Springs, James A. Fifer (Cal), Alvin Fifer (Phyllis), both of Memphis, Edward G. Fifter (Ada) of Byhalia; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Emma Watkins, Mattie Oliver, Buelah Cowan, Eartha Johnson Jr. and Lee Quincy Fifer
