Robert Lee Jones Jr.

Robert Lee Jones Jr., 66, of Lamar, died October 2, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Concord MB Church in Slayden.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Oct. 10 from 4-6 p.m. with services on Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.

He leaves a son, Luther Walton Jr. of Holly Springs; stepsons, Eric Turner of Memphis, Tarus Turner of Lamar; daughters, Tasha Robinson (Julish) of Holly Springs, Ilisha Chappell of Truman, Ark.; stepdaughter, Sherry Hughes of Olive Branch; brothers, Willie Jones of Lamar, Cleo Jones (Debra), Clyde Jones, Jerry Jones (LaTina) all of Memphis; sisters, Lillie Mae Echols of Victoria, Anna Jones of Lamar; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jones; parents, Robert Lee Jones Sr. and Lillie B. Jones; son, Tony Dowdy; borthers, Leon Jones, Roger Jones, Evone Jones, Glendale Jones, Delmond Jones, George Jones, Charles Jones, Walter Fitchpatrick and JMichael Jones.
