Ralph LaVon Howard

Ralph LaVon Howard, 74, of Holly Springs, formerly of Laurel, died September 29, 2025, at his home. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus, and a food service coordinator at Sacred Heart Southern Mission.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 6 from 4-6 p.m. and on Oct.7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 1111:50 a.m. with Mass at 12 noon. Father Guy Blair will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

He leaves his daughters, Melissa Phillips of Nashville, Tenn., Kimberly Nevels of Holly Springs; sisters, Jeanette Brown Bird of Laurel, Olivia Hudson of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Howard Howard of Little Rock, Anthony Howard, Rudolph Howard, both of Laurel; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bridges Howard; siblings, John Howard, Freddie Howard and Johnnie Pearl Howard.
