Velma Dean Roberson

Velma Dean Roberson, 74, of Lamar, died September 1, 2025, at her home. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and a waitress at Turks Burgers and Chicken and Phillips Grocery in Holly Springs.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 5 at Clear Creek Baptist Church with graveside services following in the church cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Scottie D. Roberson (Michelle) of Lamar; daughter, Angela Yeager (Jim) of Slayden; brother, Curtis Allen Jr.; sisters, Opel Jean Luke of Lamar, Joann Gray of Mt. Pleasant, Dorothy Kahler of Lamar; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Roberson; sisters, Patricia Churchill and Janet Phillips.
