Barbara Seay Jenkins

Barbara Seay Jenkins, 78, of Holly Springs, died August 23, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi-Oxford. She was a member of Calvin Chapel UM Church, a graduate of International College of Ministry, ordained minister, president of United Methodist Women, lay servant, stewardship chairperson, member of PPR committee. She was retired from Cadet School.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Aug. 28 from 1-5:30 p.m. and on Aug. 29 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 1-1:55 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Rev. Fred H. Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her daughters, Karen Jefferson, Mashetta Duncan, both of Holly Springs; sons, Austin Jenkins of Oxford, Jarvis Jenkins of Fairburn, Ga., Lelon Jenkins of Kansas City, Kan.; sisters, Linda Carruthers of Peoria, Ill., Elizabeth Buck of Cordova, Tenn., Sarah Carruthers of Peoria; brothers, James Seay of Portland, Ore., Cleosia Seay Jr. of Covington, La., Willie Seay of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Jenkins Jr.
