Jesse James "Polk" Hardin

Jesse James "Polk" Hardin, 67, of Byhalia, died August 4, 2025, at his home. He was a former member of Union Valley MB Church and a fork lift operator at Hamilton Beach Warehouse in Olive Branch.

Graveside services were held at Union Valley MB Church Cemetery on Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. Rev. Leslie King Jr. officiated. Burial was in Union Valley MB Church Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his daughters, Wynona Hardin of Memphis, Tenn., LaToya Hardin of Bloomington, Ill.; mother, Lillian Hardin Wheeler of Byhalia; sisters, Bonita Applewhite of Byhalia, Loretha Thompson of Jefferson, Ga.; brother, Ricky Hardin of Byhalia; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Phillip Jr. and stepfather, Curtis Wheeler.
