James Jr. Hoyle

James Jr. Hoyle, 63, of Lamar, died July 29, 2025, at his home. He attended Palestine MB Church and worked with the Benton County Road Department.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Aug. 8 from 1-6 p.m. and on Aug. 9 at Ashland High School Gymnasium from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Pastor Marquez Washington will officiate. Burial will be in Palestine MB Church Cemetery in Michigan City.

He leaves his wife, Cindy Harris Hoyle; daughters, TaKeisha Hoyle of Lamar, TaRonda Williams of Toone, Tenn., Latonia Dortch of Moscow, Tenn., Phenisha Johnson of Holly Springs; son, James Johnson of Holly Springs; sister, Natalie Washington of Michigan City; brothers, Eldson Hoyle, Jerome Hoyle, both of Lamar, Renaldo Hoyle of Phoenix, Ariz., Patrick Hoyle of Lamar; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hoyle and Alberta Yancey Tipler; son, Travis Brown; and brother, Tarvaris Hoyle.
