Sisters back on "track" for a successful season

Legacy and Majesty LeSueur are back on “track” for a sucessful track and field season.

The sisters joined M2OY track club for the regular season under Shelby Youth Sports. They sprinted for gold and silver medals along with individual trophies and third place medals. Both girls competed in the 100, 200 and 400 meters. After the regular season, they joined the M20Y travel team.

They competed against top rated tracksters in Huntsville and Birmington, Ala., Jonesboro, Ark., Baton Rouge, La., and Collierville, Tenn. Both sisters competed for club championship in Jacksonville, Fla., qualifying in the 100, 200 and 400 meters.

Their final meet was in St. Louis, Mo., for the Jackie Joyner Kersey Invitational Track Meet.

Legacy took home the gold in the 400 with a PR and silver in the 200.

Majesty was also a top finisher in her age group in the 100 and 200 meters.

Legacy finished in first place overall in the nine year old division for Tennessee Club Girl’s leaders with a personal best time of 1:07:78 in the 400 meters, while Majesty finished fourth overall in her age group of eight in the 100 with a time of 15:69.

Both wins are top places for all girl Tennessee Club members in their age groups.

The sisters were coached by Coach “O” and they attend Briarcrest School in Eads, Tenn. They are the children of Mitanni and Jeremy LeSueur; and the granddaughters of Annetta and Jeremiah LeSueur of Holly Springs and Beverly Spruill of Cordova, Tenn.
