Elmer B. Feathers

Elmer B. Feathers, 78, of Ashland, died Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Resthaven Nursing Home in Ripley.

A memorial service with Military Honors was held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 25, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 12 p.m. until time of service with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating.

He was a United States Marines veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Medal, the Purple Heart medal as well as the Presidential Unit Citation medal.

He leaves two sons, Gene Feathers (Ginny) of Waterford, and Clevie Feathers (Jenny) of Myrtle; four brothers, Will Feathers, Jimmy Feathers (Pattie), Earl Feathers (Virginia), and Dean Feathers (Linda); five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren,

He was preceded by his wife of thirty-two years, Bettie Louise Riemath Feathers; and one brother, George "Buddy" Feathers.
