Gene Edward Hubbard

Gene Edward Hubbard, 73, of Kent, Wa., formerly of Holly Springs, died July 15, 2025, in Holly Springs. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church and a retired maintenance worker at Sunbeam Inc.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 25 from 1-6 p.m. and on July 26 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Rev. Willie E. Hoey will officiate. Burial will be in Charity Hill Cemetery in Lake Center.

He leaves a son, Edward Hubbard of Holly Springs; daughters, LaKenya Hubbard of Kent, Marica Richmond of Holly Springs; sister, Gannice Harris of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, Cagie Hubbard of Holly Springs; 10 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Isaac Shed, Mamie Driver, Ridy Sellers, L.B. Leggin, Climmie J. Mitchell, Winston Hubbard, Ethel Walton, Clarence Hubbard, Lura B. Collins, Wallace T. Hubbard, and Timothy W. Hubbard.
