John Lenard Nance
John Lenard Nance, 81, of Barton, died July 6, 2025, at his home. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a switchman for Illinois Central Railroad in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of New Life Tabernacle Church in Byhalia.
Services were held at Collierville First Pentecostal Church on July 10 at 11 a.m. Burial was in Gerizim Cemetery in Myrtle. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his daughters, Tracy Nance Rosson (Mike) of Eads, Tenn., Tina Nance Nolen (James) of Williston, Tenn., Robin Nance Loyd (Jason) of Byhalia, Tabitha Nance of Byhalia; sons, Jonathan Nance (Nancy) of Rossville, Tenn., Caylon Nance (Bailey) of Barton, Landon Nance (Leigh Ann) of Moscow, Tenn., Clayton Nance of Collierville, Tenn.; sisters, Joyce Nance Miller, Kathryn Nance Tyer both of New Albany, Ashley Nance Gooch (Matthew) of Myrtle; and 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Patricia L. Nance; son, Joseph Aaron Nance; brother, Richard Nance; and sister, Joanna Nance Kirkendall.
