While on vacation in Maine, Jane and Charlie Farris visited with Billy Blaylock and Palmer Hagestrom in their summer home in Wiscasset, Maine. Their home is 200 years old and is decorated with gorgeous quilts and period furniture. This picturesque village is located on the Sheepscot River. While touring the home learning its history, the Farrises enjoyed treats prepared by Billy. Next year, Charlie and Jane want to visit Billy and Palmer at their home in Fairhope, Ala.

Jamie, Natalie and Pat Shaw, along with Camille Shaw, took on the West last week. They had a wonderful time seeing all the sights and spending quality time together.

Something I look forward to every year are the after the Fourth of July pictures posted from Slayden. It truly amazes me what a wonderful gathering Kathy and Boyce Crawford host. Family and friends from near and far gather for activities planned over the span of days. The planning alone has to be an undertaking, but to see the pictures of everyone enjoying themselves ~ no doubt it is so worth it. Laynie Crawford Williams always documents the events and shares them. Being from a small family myself, it warms my heart to see generation after generation gather for this holiday.
