Charlie T. "Bug" Scales Jr., 60, of New Albany, died June 9, 2025. He was a member of Mt. Zion CME Church and worked for Benton County Road Maintenance.
Services were held at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion CME Church on June 21 with burial in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a sister, Jennifer Scales (Milton) of New Albany; brothers, Jame Scales (Helen) of Holly Springs, William Scales (Tena) of Grand Rapids, Mich., Roy Scales (Mary) of Myrtle, Harold Scales (Angelia) of Olive Branch, Ronald Scales (Candy) of Shannon, Calvin Scales of Myrtle; and step-father, Junior H. Judge.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mae Scales; sister, Celestine; and grandparents, Clarence and Laura Cathey.
