Louise Buffington Wells

Louise Buffington Wells, 69, of Waterford, died June 22, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tenn. She attended Mt. Peel MB Church and was a teacher's assistant at Mary Cathey Head Start.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 28 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and on June 29 at Mt. Peel MB Church from 12-12:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Rev. Rickey Raimey Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves a daughter, Antenette James (Scottie) of Waterford; sons, Calvin Wells (Alexis) of Chulahoma, Rico Wells of Memphis, Tenn., Michael Buffington (Marcia) of Byhalia; sisters, Rosie Mitchell of Laws Hill, Betty Greer of Como, Georgia Richmond of Waterford, Loise Jones, Lillian Dean, Johnnie Mae Buffington, all of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Fred Buffington, David Buffington, both of Waterford; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Wells; parents, Elliott Kinard and Maggie Pearl Buffington; sisters, Shirley Buffington and Lora Buffington.
