Mattie C. Jackson

Mattie C. Jackson, 92, of Michigan City, died June 9, 2025, at her home. She was a member of Palestine MB Church where she served on the mother board and was president of the usher board. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 20 from 3-6 p.m. and on June 21 at Palestine MB Church from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Rev. James Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves a daughter, Shirley Lesure of Michigan City; sons, Albert Jackson, O.C. Jackson, Marvin Jackson, Roy Lee Jackson, Larry Jackson, William Jackson, all of Michigan City, Stanley L. Jackson of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Elaine Hale, Katie Gibson, both of Memphis, Dorothy Yancy of Ashland, Lizzie King of Holly Springs; brothers, Steve Bostick of Ashland, Charles Gordon of Memphis, James Shelton of Slayden; 38 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and 16 great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jackson; daughter, Mattie B. Robinson; and brother, C.L. Hoyle Jr.
