Man killed after striking traffic light

A Holly Springs man was killed May 31 after striking a traffic light pole in front of McDonalds on Craft Street in Holly Springs, according to coroner James Richard Anderson.
He said Kendrick M. Boyd, 31, struck traffic light pole around 12:27 a.m.
Boyd was driving a Chevrolet 1500, Anderson said. Anderson was called to the scene at 12:40 a.m. And Boyd was pronounced dead at 12:57.
