Willie Mae Tidwell Alshadly

Willie Mae Tidwell Alshadly, 69, of Aurora, Illinois, formerly of Holly Springs, died May 29, 2025, at her sisters home in Aurora. She was a member of Hopewell No. 1 MB Church, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and an educator with the Holly Springs School District and Rust College.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on June 12 from 3-6 p.m. and on June 13 at Hopewell No. 1 MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Andre DeBerry will officiate. Burial will be in Chulahoma MB Church Cemetery.

She leaves a sister, Bernice Anderson of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her parents, S.T. Tidwell Sr. and Catherine Tidwell; brothers, S.T. Tidwell Jr., Willie "Cete" Tidwell and Johnny "Jug" Tidwell.
