Mariam Ruth Sims Bowien

Mariam Ruth Sims Bowien, 80, of Biloxi, formerly of Potts Camp, died April 21, 2025, in Biloxi. She was a member of Temperance Hill Baptist Church in Potts Camp.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
She leaves her daughters, Brenda Lyons of Biloxi, Teresa Byrd of Potts Camp; brothers, Wilson Sims Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, Ron Jones of Pinole, Calif., Albert Jones of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Bonnie Johnson of Pearl; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bowien; son, Gary Cotton; brothers, Howard Sims, John Sims, and James Sims.
