Lealor Hicks Turner

Lealor Hicks Turner, 72, of Lamar, died April 20, 2025, in Millington, Tenn. She was a member of Samuel Chapel MB Church where she served as a women's missionary, church usher, church clerk, and in the youth ministry. She was the director of Health and Human Services for Benton County.

Visitation will be held on April 28 at Samuel Chapel MB Church in Ashland from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Ricky Ball will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her sons, Stanley D. Turner of Lamar, Richard Brooks Jr. of Olive Branch, Michael Brooks of Memphis; sisters, Cathryn Moore, Claudia Norwood, Glossie Richards, all of Lamar; brothers, George Hicks of Plainfield, Ill., Delphus Hicks Jr. of Bolivar, Tenn., L.T. Hicks of Lamar, Freddie Hicks of Memphis; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delphus Sr. and Gladys Hicks; brothers, William Hicks and Franklin Hicks.
