Joanathon Antawayne Walls

Joanathon Antawayne Walls, 46, of Lamar, died March 28, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of New Dimension Salt and Light and an equipment operator at McCormick and Company Inc. in Byhalia.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on April 3 from 3-6 p.m. and on April 5 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 99:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Actavatis Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood MB Church Cemetery in Lamar.

He leaves his sons, Marquise Tashaun Williamson of Atlanta, Ga., Jamarcus Walls of Holly Springs; mother, Jearline Mathis Walls of Lamar; sisters, Grace Smith of Ashland, Juanita Reliford, Mattie Burns, Terrie Dokes, all of Olive Branch; brothers, Marvin Walls of Lamar, Bradley Walls of Michigan City, Willie Walls of Byhalia, Matthew Walls of Holly Springs, Steven Walls, Shonathan Walls, both of Lamar, and Bryan Walls of Olive Branch.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Leon Preston; and brother, Kinnie Lee Walls.
