Willie James "Zeke" Hale

Willie James "Zeke" Hale, 71, of Byhalia, died March 21, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of True Faith MB Church in Piperton, Tenn.

Visitation will be held at True Faith MB Church on March 28 from 4-6 p.m. Services will be held at 12 noon on March 30 at Mt. Zion MB Church in Piperton. Burial will be in True Faith MB Church Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his sons, Fredrick Hampton of Grand Junction, Tenn., Eric Hale (Carol) of Rossville, Tenn., Reginald Garrison (Kristin) of Olive Branch; daughters, Courtney Hale of Cordova, Tenn., Brittany Hale of Carrollton, Texas; brothers, Leon Key of Jonesboro, Ga., John Lumpkin (Iris) of Dallas, Texas, Herman Hale (Jo Allen) of Byhalia; sisters, Bobby Ann Newton (Johnny) of Ann Arbor, Mich., Melody Hale, Ida Sue Hardaway, Sandra Denise Hale, all of Byhalia; his fiancé , Teresa Wells of Byhalia; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Bob Hale and Wilma Martin Hale; sisters, Lurlean Saulsberry and Jannie Bowers.
