Willye L. Flowers Stanback

Willye L. Flowers Stanback, 84, of Byhalia, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died March 20, 2025, at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital. She was a member of Isaac Chapel CME Church where she served on the usher board. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 28 from 12-5:30 p.m. and on March 29 at Isaac Chapel CME Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Willie Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Southwoods in Memphis, Tenn.

She leaves her daughters, Jackie Flowers of Los Angeles, Calif., Melody Brunson of Byhalia; sons, Larry Flowers of Chicago, Christopher Stanback of Memphis; sisters, Katie Thomas of Shelby, Addie Flowers of Chicago; brother, Nathaniel Flowers of Carson, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olander Stanback; siblings, Madge Flowers and Donnas Gant.
