Bluejays Jr. Gardners enjoy crafts and cookie program

The Bluejays Jr. Gardeners had a fun-filled meeting in December. Margie Thompson taught everyone how to create an easy door hanger for the holidays. Each student was provided a kit containing a foam board candy cane, a red and white sock, a small ball ornament, a piece of burlap, a wire and a pretty Christmas pick. First they placed the sock on the styrofoam cane, then added the other items as instructed. Everyone did a great job and each hangar was unique.

After enjoying making their crafts, everyone received a gift bag from Byhalia Garden Club containing homemade cookies, soft drinks, candy canes and a special ornament. Assisting with the December meeting were Byhalia Garden Club members Jan Sisk, Barbara Boyd and Kathy Keck.

The Bluejays Jr. Garden Club is sponsored by the Byhalia Garden Club and Byhalia Middle School under the direction of Jan Sisk and Hayley Hill.
