Fort Doxey Knighton, 83, of Ashland, died January 1, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in New Albany. He was a superintendent at Wurlitzer Manfacturing and a US Army veteran.
A private service was held on Jan. 3 in the Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Ashland Cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Barbara Knighton; son, Keith Knighton (Angela) of Waterford; daughters, Angie Knighton of Laws Hill, Kim Cook (Terry) of Hickory Flat; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
