Bobb home setting for annual party

A teacher retirement group, which was started by Mrs. Louise Hurdle of Slayden many moons ago, met up Saturday evening for fabulous evening. The ladies had a wonderful time with a true blue wine tasting accompanied by a variety of tasty snacks. Mary and John Bobb hosted them for the spinninanite party. Oh what fun I know they had reminiscing and enjoying one another’s company. Also, I would like to wish Miss Carolyn an early happy birthday ~ she will flip a number Christmas Day.

Congratulations to Alexandria Hurdle, daughter of Melanie Leak. She graduated with honors from the University of Memphis over the weekend. The world is your oyster, beautiful girl ~ go seize it.

A big congratulations to Mason Moore. Friday, December 13, he graduated from Freed-Hardeman University. His family made the trip to Henderson, Tenn., to watch him walk across the stage and receive his diploma. Welcome to adulthood, Mason. We are all so proud of you.

Congratulations Brooks Davis on being promoted to big brother. Friday, December 13, precious Boone Elliott was born weighing 8 pounds and was 21” long. His adoring parents are Jessica and Ethan Davis of Mt. Pleasant. His grandparents are Bobby and Barbara Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, and Cathy Sinclair of Red Bay, Ala. Here’s to a lifetime of telling everyone that Friday the 13th is the best day ever because it is when you came into the world, little fella.
