Willie Thompson

Willie Thompson, 90, of Holly Springs, died December 13, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. He was a member of Kimbrough Chapel MB church where he served as a church deacon and treasurer. He was a retired machine operator from West Vaco.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 20 from 2-5:30 p.m. and on Dec. 21 at Kimbrough Chapel MB Church from 9-9:55 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Rev. Mark Bryson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Velma Ayers Thompson; daughters, Michelle Clayborn of Olive Branch, Mary Sims, Ruby Thompson Hood, both of Chicago, Ill.; sons, Lee Thompson of Holly Springs, Willie Earl Thompson of Memphis, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim McKinney.
