Holly Springs Hawks sweep Byhalia Indians

Holly Springs picked up a pair of double-digit wins over cross-county rival Byhalia Tuesday night, Dec. 3, at home.

The Lady Hawks got 15 points each from Zianna Schlender and Teyuana Reaves as they coasted past the Lady Indians 52-26.

Holly Springs struggled a bit out of the starting gate but turned it up a notch in the second quarter to take a commanding 29-14 halftime advantage. The Lady Hawks then outscored the opposition 18-5 in the third quarter and rolled on to the 26-point win.

Zayriah Farrow and Aryauna Ingram added eight points each for the Lady Hawks.

Kaylee Nick scored 15 of Byhalia's 26 points. The Holly Springs boys ral-

lied in the second half for a convincing 57-42 win over the Indians.

The Hawks trailed 11-10 after one quarter and 20-19 at intermission. But the third and fourth quarters were all Holly Springs. The Hawks soared out front 37-31 at the end of the third and went on to win by 15 points.

Leading the way for Holly Springs were Joseph Petty with 12 points, Christopher Hale with 11 and Jasiah Johnson with 10. Scoring eight points each were Jason Jeffries and Cadarius Nunnally.

Tyrus Davis was the top gun for Byhalia with 14 points, including three threes. Isaac Greer added nine.
